North of Ardnamurchan, most Westerly point of the Scottish mainland, lies one of the greatest sail cruising grounds in the world. The scattered jewels of the Small Isles guard the SW approaches to the spectacular Isle of Skye, dominated by the rugged Cuillins and the extraordinary anchorage of Loch Scavaig. Heading North between Skye and the mainland the Sound of Sleat leads you to our base at Kyle of Lochalsh and the sheltered waters of the Inner Sound.
Far to the West the dazzling archipelago of the Outer Hebrides sprawls like a rugged necklace defending Scotland from the full fury of the Atlantic. If lucky you may pass through the rock-strewn Sound of Harris to the rarely visited West coast of Lewis, from where the abandoned outpost of St. Kilda beckons the adventurous to its remote shores.
Or perhaps head North to where the gulf stream warms the far North-West. Here you may visit the sub-tropical gardens at Inverewe, the Summer Isles and the picturesque fishing port of Lochinver. This is your staging post for Cape Wrath and the Viking landscapes and treasures of Orkney.
Wherever your cruise takes you we promise you views and memories that will last a lifetime. Meanwhile, to see more of this fabulous cruising area why not visit our photo gallery?
